First up, DoodleBugs Teaching's Five For Friday
We went on SUCH a fun field trip this week! I'd never been to the Connecticut Science Center before, and boy was it fun! There were so many different rooms with so much to do and learn! One of my munchkins was absolutely over the moon to check out their Lost Egypt exhibit and see the mummy. The others had a blast in the Forces in Motion room where they got to build cars, play with magnet trains and play in the Sound Lab! I personally enjoyed the weather room where I got "stuck in a hurricane!" :)
Last night, a close friend of mine and I decided VERY last minute (like...40 minutes before the concert) tickets to see The Band Perry. Incredibly enough, thanks to StubHub, we were in the FIRST ROW! Tickets weren't expensive at all, and they put on a GREAT show!!
SO CLOSE!!
Just a little brag moment - each week my kiddos read one or two Bible stories and have to answer comprehension questions that go with them. While answering, they have to go back into the text and highlight where they find their answers. I count them as a quiz for Religion. This week, after doing these since probably December, my kiddos did better than they have ALL YEAR! I'm SO proud of them, and how far they have all come! I'm getting a little end-of-the-year blues already! Not for summer, but for missing my munchkins and being so proud of all of their accomplishments this year...anyone else with me?
Last, but most definitely not least, I'm linking up with Farley's currently!!
Listening to The Band Perry, and still in such a great mood from the concert! :) See #3!
Loving that it's the weekend! May is a big birthday month for many people in my life, and we're kicking it off this weekend with some fun plans!
Thinking about what it will be like to go back to some state of normalcy in my classroom after weeks of communion-prep craziness! I can't wait to have a regular old day in our classroom again!
Wanting some new maxi dresses for summer and for the warm weather in the spring! The ones I have are so soft, and I feel like I'm wearing jammies or sweats to work!
Needing a new car battery! After an awesome night at the concert last night, I went to drive home and my car wouldn't start! Luckily, AAA saved the day, and I'm all set with my new battery now!
SURPRISE! Teacher Will Run for Books! I found this fellow CT blogger through the contest my grade partner (Frampton's Fundamentals) and I are running, and she's so sweet! I hope that we can become closer bloggy-friends in the future! :o)
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!
The concert sounds so fun! I haven't been to a concert in ages...going to add that to my summer "wish list". :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe your battery died too. Maybe it really is something with this time of year. Our guy in the service dept. said sometimes they have bad cells and it shows up around this time of year and in October-ish. At least you got to have a great night hearing the band Perry, I bet that was awesome. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
