A February Five for Friday

I'm linking up with Kacey from
for another lovely Five for Friday!!

Last weekend, I was anticipating our school's Open House, so I went into work, and put up our display between the 2 second grade classrooms! Open House never happened (due to snow) but we have a pretty darn cute display!! Thanks to My Carolina Classroom for the idea!!

(I traced Olaf on my SMART board. Don't be fooled, I'm not that good!!)

New England has been SLAMMED with a ton of snow in the last few weeks.

The view from my house on Monday...

Our playground on Thursday morning when it was snowing...AGAIN! Please make it stop!!

Of course, in true New England style, it was sunny that afternoon.

I used my snow days to do some Valentine prep! Click the pictures to links for freebies!!

When we were in school this week, we started our money unit! If money is in your curriculum, RUN, do not walk, to Amy Lemons' TpT store and get this right now! Her resources are amazing and they make so much more sense to my kiddos than our book!!

Seriously, though. She's the best. I use ALL of her math resources and can't get enough of them!!

I am SO pumped that Amanda from The Take Home Teacher is organizing a blogger meet up in Providence at the end of this month!!

Email her (thetakehometeacher@gmail.com) for details!! Hope to see you there!!

Happy Friday!! :o)

Little Bit Of Love

Ahh, the month of love is upon us! I've been racking my brain (and Pinterest) for a cute Valentine to give my munchkins this year. Last year, I went the no-food route and did this...

Got my kiddos cute Valentine pencils and some fun pens, attached them to the cards, and
BOOM! Done!

(These are just an example...Crayola glitter markers. Found 'em last week. Thanks, Target!)

You can snag this Valentine freebie in my TpT store by clicking on the picture below! (Keep scrolling for an EXCLUSIVE blog follower freebie!)

BUT this year, I decided to go another route. Valentines for my munchkins are inspired by this pin:

So I gathered up my supplies...
I searched in honestly 6 different stores for heart krazy straws. Even Amazon has forsaken me! They are no where to be found! :o(

Made a little tag, and assembled my easy-peasy Valentines in about 20 minutes!

I'm usually the one putting together my Valentines the night before...or worse, that morning! BUT thanks to a snow day, and some thinking ahead, I'm DONE and they're ready to be passed out!

Click here to snag this tag for your little Valentines, among many others!!

What do you do for Valentines? Do you do something different every year, or do you have an old reliable?

Currently February!

I'm linking up with Farley's currently for my snow day!

Listening: I rented Gone Girl to drown out the sounds of my summer break getting shorter!

Loving: While I hate that my snow days mean more days in June, I'm loving this snow day! This is the 2nd year in a row I've had no school the day after the Super Bowl, and I'll tell ya, I could get used to this! :o)

Thinking: I've got a to do list a mile long, and since my district called our snow day around 4:00 yesterday, planning for the week is at the top of that list.

Wanting: Warmer weather! After a snow day or two, I'm over the snow, and I'm ready for 75 degree weather! Take me to May, please!

Needing: to do my usual "Sunday things" that I didn't do yesterday.

Pageant Title: Ask anyone to describe me and the first word most of them would say is organized! I'm seeing through Farley's linky that it's a common thread with teachers...I love it! :o)

Off to finish my movie and nap before tackling my To Do list!
